Job Description

The Assistant Sales Manager plays a key supporting role within the Sales & Marketing team by assisting in daily operations, managing communications and arrangements between the resort and business partners, and ensuring all sales-related activities are aligned with the resort’s commercial strategy. A vital part of this role includes hosting travel agents, tour operators, and partners during site visits, sharing in-depth product knowledge, and ensuring their experience reflects the resort’s high standards.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Assist in the execution of the resort’s sales strategy to achieve revenue goals and market share.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key sales partners including travel agents, tour operators, DMCs, and luxury travel planners.
  • Identify and develop partnership through proactive research, networking, and prospecting activities.
  • Monitor competitor activity and market trends to provide insights and assist the Sales Manager/Director in implementing marketing initiatives and campaigns accordingly.
  • Conduct proactive sales calls, site inspections, and presentations to existing and potential clients.
  • Prepare proposals, quotations, and contracts, ensuring timely follow-ups.
  • Submit regular and special sales reports, market analysis as requested by the Director of Sales & Marketing.
  • Manage a healthy sales pipeline and consistently work toward meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for sales clients, ensuring excellent service and communication.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Represent the resort at travel trade shows, exhibitions, and industry networking events.
  • Represent the resort in a professional manner to promote its image and reputation.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activities in the system.
  • Translate marketing materials, contracts, and communication as needed into Russian.

Qualifications

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in sales, preferably in the luxury hospitality sector.
  • Proficient in English and Russian (written and verbal).
  • Strong knowledge of the Russia & CIS market.
  • Effective time management and organizational abilities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with a confident and professional demeanor.
  • Strong time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, with a positive attitude and results-oriented mindset.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms relevant to the target market, particularly Telegram and Instagram, is an advantage.
  • Strong multicultural awareness and ability to work with people from diverse cultures and able to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays when required.
  • Familiarity with the Maldives market and high-end resort operations is an advantage.
