Job Description

To assist the Restaurant Manager in the daily operation of the outlet and ensure that service standards, guest satisfaction, and financial performance are achieved in line with hotel direction, the Assistant Restaurant Manager will:

  • Support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, including service delivery, food quality, and guest experience
  • Monitor and maintain service standards across all shifts, ensuring consistency with hotel policies and brand guidelines
  • Assist in staff supervision, training, and development to foster a high-performing team culture
  • Contribute to financial performance by managing costs, monitoring budgets, and identifying opportunities for revenue optimisation
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations throughout the outlet
  • Handle guest relations and resolve complaints professionally to maintain satisfaction and loyalty
  • Assist with scheduling, rostering, and workforce planning to ensure adequate staffing levels
  • Support inventory management and liaise with suppliers to maintain stock levels and quality standards
  • Participate in promotional activities and special events to enhance the outlet's profile and guest engagement
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on operational metrics, incidents, and performance indicators

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in hospitality management
  • Proficiency in English and Japanese (reading, writing, and oral)
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and POS systems
  • Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management preferred
