Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager for our Restaurant & Bar located in the vibrant city of Mysuru, India. As an integral part of our management team, you will help oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and contribute to the overall success of our establishment.

  • Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant and bar operations
  • Supervise and motivate staff to maintain high standards of service and efficiency
  • Manage inventory, placing orders, and controlling costs to maximize profitability
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, safe environment
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally and efficiently
  • Assist in creating staff schedules and managing payroll
  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures for food and beverage service
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop and update menus
  • Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching to existing staff
  • Assist in organizing and executing special events and promotions
  • Monitor and analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience in restaurant or bar management
  • Previous supervisory experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment
  • Proficiency in restaurant management software and Point of Sale (POS) systems
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Proficient in inventory management and cost control techniques
  • Knowledge of local cuisine and beverages
  • Understanding of food and beverage cost control principles
  • Familiarity with local liquor laws and regulations
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field (preferred)
  • Food Safety Certification
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a high-pressure environment
