Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Assistant Manager - People & Culture to join our dynamic team in Gandhinagar, India. In this pivotal role, you will partner with our Director of Talent & Culture to drive organizational excellence through strategic talent acquisition, employee development, and the cultivation of an inclusive, supportive workplace culture. You will be instrumental in attracting top talent, nurturing employee engagement, and ensuring our organization operates with transparency, integrity, and a genuine commitment to our people.

  • Develop and implement contemporary recruitment strategies and procedures to attract high-quality candidates aligned with organizational needs and competitive market standards
  • Maintain comprehensive employee records, legal documentation, policies, and procedures while ensuring full compliance with legislative requirements and company guidelines
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development support to team members to enhance operational efficiency and foster career growth
  • Prepare and analyze periodic personnel reports including turnover analysis, recruitment metrics, and personnel inventories to inform strategic decision-making
  • Conduct manpower requirement analysis and recommend targeted selection activities to meet organizational staffing needs
  • Monitor industry trends, legislative changes, and local labor market conditions to ensure the organization remains compliant and competitive
  • Foster open, sincere communication with all employees, building trusting relationships based on respect, empathy, and transparency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure smooth operations and support team members in achieving departmental and organizational goals
  • Assist in developing annual and long-term talent and culture plans that align with the organization's overall strategic objectives
  • Identify and implement human resources strategies that promote a progressive work culture supporting recruitment, development, and retention of high-performing employees
  • Communicate and enforce staff policies, in-house rules, and regulations while conducting annual reviews to ensure organizational alignment
  • Design and implement continuous improvement initiatives by gathering internal and external feedback and applying best practice models
  • Demonstrate leadership through motivation, persuasion, and recognition of team members' contributions and ideas

Qualifications

**Required Qualifications:**

  • Post-secondary education or relevant certification in Human Resources Management
  • Minimum 1 year of experience at the Assistant Manager level in People & Culture or Human Resources
  • Minimum 5 years of overall experience in human resources, talent acquisition, or people operations
  • Oral and written fluency in English
  • Proficiency in local language(s)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of labor laws, HR compliance, and employment regulations applicable in India
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and HR-related software applications

**Essential Qualifications:**

  • Proven experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, and employee onboarding processes
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement HR policies and procedures
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret personnel data and generate actionable insights
  • Excellent organizational and time management capabilities
  • Leadership qualities including motivation, integrity, and ethical behavior
  • Team building and collaborative mindset with a commitment to inclusive practices
  • Conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities
  • Self-starter mentality with initiative and drive to achieve organizational goals
  • Empathetic approach to employee relations and performance management

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Experience in luxury hospitality, corporate, or high-performance organizational environments
  • Coaching certification or formal training in employee development methodologies
  • Demonstrated expertise in employee engagement and retention strategies
  • Experience with performance management systems and talent development programs
  • Strong industry network and professional connections within the HR community
  • Strategic thinking ability with creative problem-solving capabilities
  • Experience in change management and organizational development initiatives

Additional Information

03-04 Years of experience in Human Resources within a midscale or branded hotel.

MBA in Human Resources or an equivalent qualification.
