Job Description

Are you passionate about empowering & coaching a team to success while ensuring an exceptional guest experience?  Do you possess a courageous, uplifting spirit, and a team-oriented attitude?  With your upbeat and infectious personality, you will represent the Precinct General Manager or Senior Managers in their absence, ensuring smooth, efficient, and outstanding hotel operations.

  • Assist and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Front Office team
  • Lead and monitor team members with true leadership ability that motivates and inspires the entire team
  • Ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Hotel's operations in the absence of the Precinct General Manager/Senior Managers, maintaining a high level of customer service at all times
  • Make decisions that achieve win-win outcomes for both the Hotel and its guests
  • Follow Emergency Communication procedures, ensuring that media inquiries are addressed solely by the nominated spokesperson

Qualifications

You must have:

  • Must have minimum 1 year experience working as an Assistant Manager (Duty Manager) in a medium to large 5 Star hotel
  • Must have a diploma or higher in Hospitality or Tourism Management
  • A current and valid Manager's Certificate, and a First Aid Certificate
  • Must have a Full New Zealand Drivers License.
  • Proven leadership experience in a Front Office operations role
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, and Opera
  • The ambition as a team leader who develops, drives, and coaches the team, bringing a unique aspect of your individuality into everyday tasks
  • Flexibility to work a varied roster, including mornings, nights, weekends, and public holidays

Additional Information

This is a full-time role with guaranteed 40 hours per week, offering a competitive hourly rate range of $31.00 to $34.00, along with Accor's range of global benefits.
