    Job Description

    Representing The Fairmont Banff Springs through excellence in guest service.  Responsible for the effective and efficient operation of the Front Desk team. Lead, teach, coach and inspire the supervisors and colleagues of the Front Desk while committed to helping the hotel become one of the world's finest heritage resorts.

    Competitive Salary: $65,000 - $67,000 gross annually, based on previous experience & education

    Job Duties Include:

    Reporting to the Front Desk Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

    • Lead the Front Office team in delivering professional, friendly, and engaging service, ensuring guest satisfaction, managing VIP experiences, and resolving concerns promptly.
    • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training of Front Office colleagues, including creation and execution of detailed training systems and regular communication meetings.
    • Support daily operations through coordination with other departments, ensuring seamless communication for groups, special events, and guest requests.
    • Manage performance and administrative tasks such as scheduling, payroll, staff development, and adherence to Fairmont policies and operational standards.
    • Monitor and enforce front office controls and procedures, ensuring accuracy in rates, market codes, and crisis readiness, while aligning with property goals such as EOS, VOG, RevPAR, and GOP.

    Qualifications

    Your Skills & Qualifications:

    • Minimum 2 years of experience in a hotel leadership role
    • Proficient in property management systems (e.g., PROPERTY Manager)
    • Skilled in Microsoft Excel and Word
    • Experience with Time and Attendance systems
    • Familiarity with Watson reporting system
    • Hospitality diploma or relevant post-secondary education (asset)
