Job Summary
Accounting Clerk – Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to support the Finance Department at Our Habitas Ras Abrouq. The role will assist with daily accounting transactions, documentation, data entry, reconciliations, and general financial administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily accounting transactions and financial data entry.
- Process invoices, receipts, payments, and other accounting documents.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
- Verify invoices, purchase orders, receipts, and supporting documents.
- Maintain accurate and organized accounting records and files.
- Support daily cash and revenue reconciliation.
- Ensure transactions are properly coded and recorded.
- Coordinate with other departments to resolve invoice and payment discrepancies.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documents.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and company information.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned by the Chief Accountant.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- 1 year of experience in accounting or finance, preferably within a hotel, resort, or hospitality environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; knowledge of hotel accounting systems is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Ability to monitor daily transactions, verify invoices, process payments, and maintain accurate accounting records.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with internal departments and external parties.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and resolve accounting discrepancies.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism when handling financial information.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken; additional languages are an advantage.
