Job Description

As the Accounting Clerk, you will assist the Credit Manager to ensure and impactful and thoughtful productivity in maintaining and protecting our Hotel’s receivables and assets.

Hourly Rate:  $28.41

What you will be doing:

  • Provide assistance with Group Master clerical and billing procedures
  • Review Dun & Bradstreet reports for our Credit Application process
  • Attendance required in some Pre-Convention Meetings
  • In person interaction(s) with Meeting Conveners, as necessary
  • Maintain an open and professional communication with all Departments that affect Group Billing Masters
  • Regular review of Aging Report with timely follow-up communication
  • Prepare for and participate in monthly credit meetings
  • Assistance with Month End closing tasks and procedures
  • Assistance with timely revenue adjustments
  • Assistance with Corporate Programs billing procedures
  • Assistance with Hotel internal and external partners billing procedures
  • Provide assistance with Tour FIT billing procedures, as necessary
  • Able to maintain an organized and functioning filing system

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

    Experience

    • One year experience with accounting related duties preferred
    • Flexibility to work weekends as necessary to reflect business needs 
    • Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of colleagues in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner
    • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of all data
    • Must possess basic computational ability
    • Must possess computer skills, including a proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook required
    • Working knowledge of accounting software is an asset
    • Must possess strong organizational skills with demonstrated numerical aptitude and problem solving skills
    • Must be able to multi-task and be detail-oriented in a fast paced, high volume environment.
    • Must have ability to work independently and to prioritize or seek clarification in prioritizing work assignments to meet strict deadlines
    • Maintain a professional working environment and attitude

    Education

    • High School diploma (or equivalent) and/or vocational training
    • Accounting degree is an asset
