Job Description

Be part of the opening leadership team of Mercure Oradea, a new contemporary midscale hotel featuring 90 rooms, four conference halls, a spa & wellness center, restaurant, and café.

The Marketing Coordinator supports the day-to-day execution of the hotel’s marketing and communication activities.
The role focuses on coordinating campaigns, creating content, updating platforms and assisting internal teams to increase brand visibility and guest engagement.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the position provides operational marketing support during the pre-opening phase and continues with daily marketing tasks once the hotel is fully operational, ensuring all materials follow Accor brand standards.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Execution

  • Assist with the implementation of marketing and communication activities.

  • Coordinate the rollout of campaigns across digital, social media, email and offline channels.

  • Adapt and localise materials provided by regional or global teams.

  • Ensure all marketing materials follow Mercure and Accor brand guidelines.

Content & Digital Support

  • Create and publish content for the hotel website, social media and newsletters.

  • Capture photo and video content to promote rooms, dining, meetings & events and guest experiences.

  • Update online listings and brand platforms with accurate and current information.

  • Monitor results and prepare performance reports.

Pre-Opening & Launch Support

  • Assist with marketing preparations before the hotel opening.

  • Support the organisation of launch campaigns, promotions and opening events.

  • Help coordinate materials, suppliers and timelines related to launch activities.

PR, Partnerships & Local Activities

  • Support communication with local media and partners.

  • Assist in preparing press releases and promotional materials.

  • Help organise local events, collaborations and community initiatives.

Coordination & Administration

  • Work closely with Sales, Revenue, Operations, Spa, F&B and Events teams to support their marketing needs.

  • Liaise with external agencies and suppliers when needed.

  • Maintain marketing files, assets, databases and reports.

  • Provide general administrative support for the Marketing & Communications function.


Qualifications

 

  • Good written and verbal communication skills in Romanian and English.

  • Good understanding of social media platforms, content planning and analytics.

  • Proficient in Microsoft 365; Canva and WordPress are a plus.

  • Organised and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks.

  • Team player with a hands-on, practical approach.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field.

  • Previous experience in marketing, hospitality or service industries is a plus.

  • Experience in digital marketing and content creation is an advantage.
