Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Welder Supervisor to lead our welding operations team in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt. In this role, you will oversee daily welding activities, ensure quality standards are met, and foster a safe, productive work environment. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical welding expertise with proven leadership capabilities to drive operational excellence and team performance.
- Supervise and manage a team of welders, providing clear direction, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities
- Ensure all welding work meets quality standards and specifications through regular inspections and testing
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and company safety policies
- Plan and schedule welding projects to optimize productivity and meet production deadlines
- Conduct equipment maintenance checks and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime
- Train team members on welding techniques, safety procedures, and new equipment operation
- Analyze production data and identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains
- Document work progress, maintain accurate records, and prepare performance reports
- Troubleshoot technical issues and implement corrective actions promptly
- Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure seamless project coordination
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on welding experience with proficiency in multiple welding processes
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong knowledge of welding standards, quality assurance practices, and safety regulations
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and welding specifications
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Demonstrated ability to analyze problems and implement effective solutions
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to motivate and mentor team members
- Proficiency in using welding equipment and related tools
- Valid welding certification (AWS or equivalent)
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Preferred: Experience with scheduling software and budget management
- Preferred: Knowledge of metallurgy and material properties
- Preferred: Experience implementing process improvement initiatives
