Job Description

Technical Maintenance Engineer

The position is a multi-property Technical Maintenance Manager, managing both the Ibis and Adagio at Sutton Point. As our next Maintenance Engineer, you will…
Perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain the property’s facilities and equipment to ensure a safe and functional environment for the guests.

Manage maintenance projects and work in accordance with hotel’s quality requirements, ensuring all basic upkeep and repair tasks are carried out.

Have responsibility for preventative maintenance work and carrying out regular safety and maintenance inspections across the hotel(s) to create a pleasant and safe environment for all colleagues, guests and visitors.

Supervise contractors on site to ensure they meet legal and company requirements.

Attend and actively participate in Head of Department meetings.

Increase the site operational effectiveness, improve on project delivery, reduce equipment failure room downtime

Manage and implement improvement plans, driving Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to.

Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the hotels under their responsibilities

Be the lead of the Health & Safety Committee for the site.

Qualifications

YOU HAVE...

  • Proven experience in maintenance or similar role
  • Strong technical knowledge of all building systems (electrical, heating etc.)
  • Knowledge of health & safety practices and regulation
  • Excellent planning and leadership abilities
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
