Novotel Amsterdam City has 610 rooms and 1,300 m² of meeting space spread across 20 rooms. As a Conference & Event Coordinator, you and your team are responsible for our Convention Center bookings and, to some extent, room reservations as well.

Our reservations team consists of nine enthusiastic colleagues, three of whom are fully dedicated to Banquet Sales. Our Team Leader is looking for a right-hand person, a driven Supervisor Banquet Sales who inspires, supports, and helps the team grow.

In this role, you and your team will ensure that our Convention Centre; 1,300 m² of meeting space spread across 20 rooms, and our 610 hotel rooms are filled with satisfied guests and successful events. What will you do?

The reservations team forms the back office of our sales department and handles all incoming individual and group reservations. They ensure that every MICE request (meetings and events from 2 to 450 people, including related room bookings) is managed with excellent service.

The MICE segment plays a key role in our hotel. We provide our clients with essential information, prepare quotations, process booking data, acquire new and existing clients, and ensure a smooth handover to the operational departments within the hotel (from the Kitchen to the Front Office).

As Supervisor Banquet Sales, you are the main point of contact within the department. You support your Banquet Sales colleagues in their daily activities, keep an overview, and ensure everything runs smoothly. In addition, you actively contribute ideas for improving workflows and help the team grow and develop. In short: a versatile role where you can truly make an impact!


Qualifications

What we're looking for

For the role of Supervisor Banquet Sales, we’re seeking someone who recognizes commercial opportunities! You handle pressure well and can always see the bigger picture. You’re a social person, a natural networker, and flexible in your approach. You also meet the following requirements:

  • You’ve completed an MBO level 4 education and have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role within a comparable hotel;
  • You have knowledge of automated systems;
  • You have an excellent command of the English language.
