Job Description

We're looking for a detail-oriented and organized Stores Executive to join our team in Kochi, India. In this role, you'll be the backbone of our inventory operations, managing stock movements, coordinating with multiple departments, and ensuring our stores operate at peak efficiency. You'll take ownership of inventory accuracy, product quality, and compliance while working collaboratively with colleagues across the organization.   • Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery notes with meticulous attention to detail
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, ensuring timely system updates for all stock movements and transactions
  • Issue materials to user departments in accordance with approved requisitions and operational requirements
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO) to maintain product quality and minimize wastage
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inventory checks and assist in comprehensive stock reconciliations
  • Coordinate proactively with Purchasing, Finance, and operational departments to maintain optimum inventory levels
  • Monitor stock availability and analyze trends, reporting slow-moving, expired, or damaged items promptly
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization of all store areas while ensuring compliance with company policies and audit requirements
  • Support month-end inventory processes and prepare detailed inventory-related reports as required
  • Identify process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs
  • Communicate transparently with stakeholders regarding inventory status, discrepancies, and resolutions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience as a Stores Executive, Storekeeper, or Inventory Executive in a corporate or hospitality environment
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and relevant financial and accounting reporting systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
  • Demonstrated knowledge of inventory management principles, stock control methodologies (FIFO/FEFO), and warehouse operations
  • High degree of professionalism with strong business acumen and understanding of organizational objectives
  • Proactive approach with resilience and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Knowledge of compliance, audit requirements, and safety standards in warehouse and store operations
  • Preferred: Vendor negotiation skills and established relationships with suppliers
  • Preferred: Experience with inventory management software and ERP systems
  • Preferred: Supervisory or leadership experience in a stores or warehouse environment
