Job Description

Summary

The Spa Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring the spa facilities are clean, organized, and stocked, and assisting spa guests in a variety of ways to enhance their relaxation experience.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome spa guests with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Assist guests with checking in and out of spa services, explaining the offerings, and directing them to various areas of the spa.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of spa areas, including locker rooms, restrooms, waiting areas, relaxation lounges, and treatment rooms.
  • Stock and replenish towels, robes, toiletries, and other necessary supplies.
  • Ensure that all equipment and tools are clean, functional, and available for use.
  • Monitor the spa environment to ensure it is tranquil, safe, and comfortable for guests.
  • Assist guests with any special requests or inquiries during their spa visit, including providing information about spa treatments, services, and amenities.
  • Provide assistance in the preparation of treatment rooms, including setting up linens, oils, and other equipment for therapists.
  • Support spa associates by ensuring proper sanitation and safety protocols are followed, especially in high-touch areas.
  • Maintain an orderly spa reception area, ensuring brochures, menus, and product displays are well-organized and accessible.
  • Offer beverages and refreshments to guests, as needed.
  • Handle guest complaints or concerns professionally and escalate to management when necessary.
  • Participate in spa marketing and promotions, helping to encourage repeat visits or new treatments.
  • Perform any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by management to support the effective operation of the department and the broader goals of the property.

 


Qualifications

Experience/Certificates/Education

  • Previous experience in a spa, hospitality, or customer service role is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm, friendly, and approachable even in busy situations.
  • Attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items (e.g., towels, linens) as needed.
  • Knowledge of spa services, products, and treatments is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

  • The Spa Attendant may be on their feet for long periods.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and move spa equipment and supplies as needed.
