Nestled at the base of Blackcomb Mountain, just two hours north of Downtown Vancouver, Fairmont Chateau Whistler defines mountain luxury. Offering ski-in, ski-out convenience in the winter, and an on-site championship golf course in the summer, we are Canada’s year-round outdoor adventure destination. Additionally, we are Whistler's largest conference resort hotel, offering 5 unique dining outlets, a slope-side Health Club, and 519 guestrooms and suites.
Server's Assistant - Wildflower (Mornings)
You are an ambassador for the exceptional service that hallmarks the experience our guests have in our Wildflower restaurant each morning during breakfast service. Your warm, personal attention and knowledge of our outstanding food and beverage offerings makes guests feel unique and valued.
This is a full-time, seasonal position, starting in November / December and ending in April.
Starting Pay Rate: $18.35 per hour.
We recognize tenure through our compensation - hourly rates increase after 6 months and then yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $20.35 per hour.
Job Duties Include:
- Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way
- Have full knowledge of beverage lists and promotions, menu items and preparation methods
- Clear tables/dishware in a timely and efficient manner
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- BC Serving It Right Certificate required prior to commencing employment
- Required to be of legal age (19 years old) to serve alcohol in British Columbia
