Job Description

The Senior Sales Manager – Weddings & MICE is responsible for driving revenue through wedding, social events, conferences, meetings, incentives, and group business segments. The role focuses on developing new business opportunities, managing key client relationships, converting enquiries into confirmed events, and delivering exceptional event experiences aligned with the hotel’s brand standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to maximize wedding and MICE revenue opportunities.
  • Generate business from wedding planners, corporate companies, event agencies, travel partners, and institutional clients.
  • Identify potential markets and actively pursue new business opportunities through sales calls, networking, referrals, and industry events.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle from enquiry generation, property visits, proposals, negotiations, contracting, and event confirmation.
  • Conduct client meetings, venue tours, presentations, and customized event proposals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with wedding planners, corporate accounts, PCOs, DMCs, and event organizers.
  • Drive revenue from weddings, conferences, exhibitions, seminars, gala dinners, and social events.
  • Coordinate with banquet, operations, culinary, front office, and revenue management teams to ensure successful event execution.
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts, event pipelines, revenue reports, and market updates.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of competitor offerings, market trends, pricing strategies, and customer preferences.
  • Negotiate packages, menus, room blocks, and event contracts while protecting hotel profitability.
  • Ensure timely follow-up on leads and maximize conversion ratios.
  • Participate in wedding fairs, trade shows, networking events, and promotional activities.
  • Maintain updated records of accounts, leads, and client interactions in CRM/sales systems.
  • Provide post-event feedback and maintain long-term client relationships for repeat business.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in hotel sales, with strong exposure to weddings and MICE business.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale events, conferences, and wedding celebrations.
  • Strong network with wedding planners, corporate clients, event agencies, and local market partners.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
  • Strong understanding of banquet operations, event planning, and hotel revenue strategies.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and high-value clients.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, CRM systems, and hotel sales platforms.
