Job Description
As a waiter, you are expected to deliver prompt, efficient, consistent, professional, and engaging service to all guests. Your role is essential in creating a welcoming and memorable dining experience. Key expectations include but are not limited to:
- Provide prompt, efficient, and professional service to all hotel and restaurant guests
- Maintain thorough knowledge of menu items, including prices, preparation processes, and allergen information
- Complete all mise en place tasks before service, including table setup and side station preparation
- Take and process food and beverage orders accurately using the point of sale system
- Clear tables promptly and maintain cleanliness of the restaurant area
- Handle guest billing and payment processes efficiently
- Adhere to Health, Hygiene, and Safety standards
- Perform room service duties as required
- Assist with special functions setup and breakdown
Qualifications
- Secondary School education: minimum of 3 CXC passes
- Good oral communication skills
- Ability to speak a foreign language (particularly French, German, or Italian) is an asset
- Previous hospitality experience is beneficial but not required
- Ability to work weekends and bank holidays
