- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve room, banquet, and F&B revenue targets
- Identify new business opportunities across corporate, travel trade, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions), and leisure segments
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, travel agents, event planners, and corporate accounts
- Conduct regular sales calls, client meetings, presentations, and hotel site inspections
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and long-term agreements to maximize revenue and occupancy
- Coordinate closely with reservations, front office, and F&B teams to ensure seamless guest experience
- Work with the marketing team on promotions, campaigns, and brand positioning
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to adjust strategies
- Prepare and manage sales forecasts, budgets, and periodic performance reports
- Manage key accounts and ensure repeat business through consistent follow-ups and service quality
- Handle group bookings, conferences, and large-scale events with detailed planning and coordination
- Represent the hotel at trade fairs, exhibitions, and networking events
- Ensure compliance with brand standards of luxury chains like Taj Hotels and Marriott International
- Train and guide junior sales team members to improve performance and achieve targets
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, handle client feedback, and resolve issues promptly
- Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- MBA or specialization in Sales/Marketing is an added advantage
- 4–8 years of experience in hotel sales (preferably in 4-star or 5-star properties)
- Strong knowledge of hotel operations, revenue management, and market segments (corporate, MICE, leisure)
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Proficiency in CRM systems and hotel software (e.g., Opera, Salesforce)
- Strong analytical and reporting skills for forecasting and budgeting
- Customer-focused approach with relationship management skills
- Ability to lead a team and work under pressure to achieve targets
- Knowledge of brand standards followed by luxury chains.
