Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and goal-oriented Sales Manager for our Catering division in Mysuru ( garnd Mercure Mysore and Ibis Styles Mysuru), India. As a key member of our team, you will lead and inspire our sales efforts, driving growth and ensuring customer satisfaction in the vibrant catering industry of Mysuru.

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to maximize catering revenue and market share
  • Lead and motivate a team of sales professionals, setting clear goals and providing ongoing coaching
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, conducting site visits to showcase our catering services
  • Create tailored event proposals and negotiate contracts to close deals effectively
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business
  • Collaborate closely with culinary and operations teams to ensure exceptional event execution
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and local cultural events to maintain a competitive edge
  • Prepare detailed sales reports, forecasts, and budgets while ensuring compliance with company policies
  • Organize and participate in local food and beverage industry events to promote our catering services
  • Stay informed about local cuisine trends and incorporate them into our catering offerings

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in catering, events, or hospitality sales, with at least 2 years in a management role
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in the catering industry
  • Strong knowledge of catering and event industry trends, particularly in the Mysuru region
  • Excellent understanding of food and beverage operations, including local cuisine and cultural preferences
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in team management and motivation
  • Strong budgeting, financial management, and strategic planning skills
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Outstanding negotiation, closing, and client relationship management skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with a customer-focused approach
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required
  • Knowledge of local food and beverage regulations and safety standards
  • Familiarity with Mysuru's cultural events and catering market landscape (preferred)
