Company Description

The latest addition in the Accor portfolio, The Clarence Hotel Sydney, part of the Handwritten Collection, is opening soon with a buzz in its central Sydney CBD location near Wynyard, Pitt st Mall, Barangaroo and Darling Harbour. Clarence is in the funky part of town, where the buildings operate large business deals by day, and the nightlife is a plethora of hidden bars and laneways of entertainment. The Clarence Hotel Sydney shall open late October in stages that shall include 50 hotel rooms, gym, a Restaurant and 2 Bars.


Job Description

The Clarence Hotel Sydney has a highly desirable opportunity for a dynamic Sales & Marketing Manager who would thrive on the challenge of a hotel opening and create an identity on Clarence to make a mark on Sydney. Could this be you?

As our Sales and Marketing Manager, you would be at the forefront of bringing the distinctive Handwritten brand to life as well as:

  • Developing and executing innovative sales and marketing strategies that not only meet but exceed revenue targets.
  • Leading and inspiring a team of dedicated sales and marketing professionals, whilst fostering high performance and productivity.
  • Take charging of our digital marketing efforts, including social media management and SEO optimization. Craft engaging content, manage online advertising campaigns, and leverage social media platforms to enhance our brand's online presence.
  • Identify and nurture relationships with key clients, corporate partners, and travel agencies to foster loyalty and growth.
  • Being market savvy by keeping a keen eye on market trends, competitor activities, and guest feedback to adapt strategies for continued success.
  • Collaborating seamlessly with other hotel departments to ensure a cohesive guest experience and maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Showcasing your event mastery by overseeing the planning and execution of events, promotions, and marketing campaigns to elevate our brand presence.
  • Preparing and presenting insightful reports on sales and marketing performance to senior management.

Qualifications

  • Hospitality expertise within sales and marketing management roles.
  • Local Insight into the Sydney market and existing industry contacts are a huge plus.
  • Brilliant communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • A creative mind with a track record of successful marketing campaigns demonstrating your creative thinking.
  • Proficiency in relevant software, including Opera Cloud (desirable) and Microsoft Office.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field is a plus.
