Job Description

Role Overview

As a Rooms Controller at Banyan Tree Dubai, you will play a pivotal role in orchestrating a seamless guest experience by managing room inventory with precision and care. You will ensure that every guest’s stay reflects the hallmark of our luxury brand — thoughtful attention to detail, personalized service, and flawless execution.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Oversee daily room inventory, maintaining real-time accuracy of availability, out-of-order rooms, and special requests.

  • Allocate rooms with meticulous attention to VIPs, long-stay guests, groups, and bespoke requirements, coordinating seamlessly with Housekeeping, Guest Relations, Reservations, and Sales teams.

  • Manage check-in and pre-registration processes for arrivals, ensuring every detail — from room keys to welcome amenities — aligns with our elevated guest standards.

  • Facilitate room changes, upgrades, early arrivals, and late check-outs, always anticipating and exceeding guest expectations.

  • Collaborate closely with Housekeeping to guarantee rooms are impeccably prepared and presented for incoming guests.

  • Support Front Desk operations during peak periods, ensuring guests experience effortless service at every touchpoint.

  • Maintain precise records of room allocations, VIP arrangements, group bookings, and daily reports, ensuring operational excellence.

  • Partner with Reservations and Revenue teams to optimize occupancy, minimize overbookings, and strategically manage room types.

  • Support group bookings, special events, and conference room allocations, ensuring flawless execution for all guests.

  • Contribute to strategic room allocation planning in collaboration with revenue management to maximize guest satisfaction and hotel performance.

  • Participate in periodic audits, house-count reviews, and reporting of out-of-order rooms, ensuring operational precision at all times.


Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in front office or rooms control within a luxury hotel environment.

  • Expertise in OPERA Cloud, with a keen eye for operational detail.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering collaboration across multiple departments.

  • Strong organizational aptitude with the ability to prioritize tasks under high-pressure scenarios while maintaining composure and grace.

  • Commitment to delivering a bespoke, memorable guest experience aligned with Banyan Tree’s luxury standards.

  • Flexibility to assist with front office duties during peak times or special events, ensuring continuity of service excellence.
