Job Description

The Restaurant General Manager is the anchor of the dining room, responsible for translating Parker’s ethos into a lived experience from first welcome to final farewell.

You lead a large, complex operation with calm authority and decisive clarity, shaping service that feels grounded at breakfast and immersive by evening. You balance big-picture leadership with hands-on presence, ensuring every service unfolds with intention, composure, and emotional resonance.

Start Date: April 2026
Contract Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $71,000 - $77,000 per year, dependent on experience

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Lead all front-of-house operations across breakfast and dinner services.
  • Set, uphold, and evolve service standards that reflect calm confidence, precision, and polish.
  • Oversee scheduling, labor strategy, and daily operational readiness for a high-volume, reservation-driven restaurant.
  • Ensure seamless execution of private dining experiences and experiential service moments.

Experience & Storytelling

  • Translate Parker’s chef-driven, seasonal culinary vision into a cohesive, emotionally resonant guest experience.
  • Partner closely with Culinary leadership to align pacing, storytelling, and interactive moments.
  • Champion a cellar-forward wine program that enhances the menu and elevates the dining narrative.
  • Maintain consistency of tone, grounded, generous, and intentional, across all services.

People Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop a large front-of-house team through mentorship, accountability, and trust.
  • Inspire commitment and high performance by enrolling buy-in rather than directing through authority.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, professionalism, and emotional intelligence.
  • Act as a visible, composed leader in the room, especially during high-pressure or high-impact services.

Qualifications

What You Bring

• Proven experience leading a food-led, reservation-driven restaurant at a senior level.
• Strong wine knowledge and appreciation for chef-driven, thoughtful pairings.
• A leadership style rooted in presence, mentorship, and shared accountability.
• Deep understanding of service pacing, guest psychology, and experiential dining.
• Comfort leading large teams in high-expectation, fast-moving environments.
• A belief that hospitality should feel generous, grounded, and intentional.
• ProServe certification required.

Bonus If You Bring

• Experience overseeing wine programs or working closely with sommeliers.
• Background in destination dining or luxury hotel environments.
• A passion for evolving service models and experiential dining concepts.
• Formal leadership or wine education.

Who You Are

You are a connector and catalyst, socially confident, perceptive, and driven. You thrive in dynamic environments where multiple priorities move at once, and you find energy in shaping the big picture while guiding people through change.

You are persuasive without being forceful, decisive without being rigid. You lead conversations, anticipate challenges, and motivate others through clarity and trust. Pressure sharpens your focus, not your tone.

At Parker’s Table, you don’t just manage operations, you set the rhythm, model restraint, and create the conditions for moments guests will carry with them long after they leave Banff.

Lead with intention. Move with purpose. Stay moved.

Physical Demands

• Continuous standing and walking throughout service periods.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting up to 11lbs (5kg); occasional lifting up to 22lbs (10kg).
• Ability to work at a faster-than-average pace in a dynamic dining environment.

Visa Requirements: Must be legally authorized to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
