Job Description

Regional Sales Coordinator 

Showcase your outstanding interpersonal skills as a Regional Sales Coordinator, representing Fairmont's Canadian Western Mountain Region, consisting of Fairmont Chateau Whistler, Fairmont Banff Springs, Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise and Rimrock Resort Hotel.

Salary Range: $56,000 - $60,000 per annum depending on experience and qualifications

Job Duties Include:

  • Coordinating and supporting all aspects of sales activities including taking initial inquiries, generating leads, proposals, blocking space, referrals and contracts
  • Process proposals and contracts as required
  • Coordinate specific marketing initiatives involving Revenue Streams
  • After appropriate training and development, participate in site inspections, familiarization tours, trade shows and functions within the hotel, as required, and in the absence of the Sales Manager
  • Be an effective team player within the Sales team of Canada’s Western Mountain Region and with other team members in Catering and Conventions, Guest Services, Food and Beverage and other key areas within the hotel and the region
  • Actively seek opportunities to improve systems and procedures whilst consistently offering professional and engaging service

Qualifications

  • One year's experience in a hotel environment, ideally within Sales, Reservations, Conference Services or Front Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Opera Sales & Catering / Opera Sales Force Automation and Property Manager are assets
  • Ability to meet deadlines working in a fast-paced environment
