Job Description

Job Title: Groups Sales Executive  

Department: Sales & Marketing                                  

Inspired and Supported by: Director of Sales

 

Your purpose will be: The Savoy, a Fairmont Managed Hotel, is seeking a proactive and driven Groups Sales Executive to support the development of business primarily within the Groups market and secondarily within the Entertainment segment.

This role is responsible for generating new business opportunities, nurturing key client relationships, and supporting the Director of Sales in executing strategic sales initiatives. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, commercially minded, and passionate about luxury hospitality and exceptional client service.

 

You will be accountable for:

  • Provide sales support and coordination across the Groups and Entertainment segments
  • Contribute to the proactive development of new and existing business opportunities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, third-party agencies, event planners, and entertainment partners

Your key responsibilities & contribution will be:

  • Support the growth of Groups and Entertainment accounts, identifying opportunities to maximise revenue and market share
  • Assist the Director of Sales in managing key Entertainment accounts and driving related sales initiatives
  • Support the Groups & Events Senior Sales Manager in the coordination and development of Groups accounts and sales activities
  • Collaborate with the Reactive Groups & Events team to support overall strategy and converting enquiries
  • Coordinate and organise sales activities, including client meetings, site inspections, and hotel show rounds
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities within Groups and Entertainment sectors
  • Plan and execute entertainment-related group bookings, including press junkets, press events, and group stays
  • Manage client follow-ups (online and offline) to strengthen relationships and drive conversions
  • Support the planning and delivery of sales missions, networking events, and trade shows
  • Assist with client entertainment and relationship-building initiatives
  • Maintain accurate account profiles and track sales activity using Delphi/Salesforce
  • Prepare sales presentations, proposals, and weekly activity reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly sales reports and performance analysis
  • Work collaboratively with Events, Reservations, Revenue, and Marketing teams to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Stay informed on market trends and emerging opportunities within the Groups and Entertainment sectors

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years’ experience in hospitality sales, events, or a similar client-facing role
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent organisational and administrative abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities
  • High level of IT proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with Delphi or Salesforce is advantageous
  • Strong interpersonal skills, a positive and proactive attitude, and a passion for luxury hospitality and delivering exceptional client experiences
  • Ability to manage multiple enquiries and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience within Proactive Sales or luxury hospitality is desirable, along with an understanding of the London Groups or entertainment market
  • Additional languages, particularly a second European language, and experience working with agencies, event planners or production companies would be advantageous
