Company Description

The Accor Salter Brothers hotel portfolio spans across 11 hotels, 4 states and in 4 distinct brands within the renowned Accor network.

Job Description

We’re seeking an experienced People & Culture Manager to support our Sydney CBD hotels and shared services hub. This key leadership role drives culture, capability, compliance, and workforce experience across multiple properties.

You’ll shape the employee experience by partnering with leaders to deliver consistent, high‑quality support, embedding Accor’s people frameworks in line with Salter Brothers’ strategy. You’ll also act as a key link between the hotels and the Portfolio Director of People & Culture, contributing to portfolio initiatives, workforce planning, and continuous improvement.

This role will suit a confident operator who thrives in a multi‑site environment, builds strong relationships with leaders, and balances strategic human resources delivery with hands‑on support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coach and support hotel leaders on performance, engagement, employee relations matters, and workforce planning
  • Drive recruitment, onboarding, and talent development aligned with Accor’s capability frameworks
  • Support change management, organisational design, and portfolio‑wide HR initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, awards, policies, and governance requirements
  • Champion culture, wellbeing, diversity, and engagement across our properties
  • Partner with payroll, shared services, and operational leaders to ensure smooth HR processes
  • Analyse workforce trends and provide insights to support operational decision‑making
  • Manage learning & development for our portfolio, including facilitation of brand and service training
  • Build strong relationships across the portfolio to ensure consistent people practices and standards

Qualifications

About You

You’re a natural leader, able to connect and build trust with all levels.  An experienced HR professional with strong generalist capability and a passion for hospitality. You’re confident managing multiple stakeholders, comfortable navigating complexity, and able to balance strategic thinking with practical, day‑to‑day delivery.

You’ll bring:

  • Experience in a multi‑site HR role (hospitality or service industry preferred, hotels highly regarded)
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and award interpretation
  • Proven capability in ER/IR, coaching leaders, and supporting organisational change
  • Solid knowledge of Work, Health & Safety, incident management and claims management
  • Excellent communication, relationship‑building, and influencing skills
  • A proactive, solutions‑focused approach and the ability to work autonomously
  • A genuine commitment to people, culture, and creating great workplace experiences
  • Demonstrated competency in a similar human resources leadership role – hotel experience highly advantageous
  • Tertiary education in Human Resources Management or relatable field

If you’re passionate about building strong teams, supporting career journeys, and creating a culture where people feel valued, we’d love to welcome you.
