Porter

Pullman & Mercure King George Square is a large vibrant 438 room twin towered hotel which acts as a sanctuary for leisure and business travelers. Located opposite King George Square, City Hall and ideally situated in the heart of Brisbane CBD the hotel has some of the largest conference spaces in Brisbane incorporating 2 ballrooms. The hotel also features some amazing and extremely popular venues of Goldfinch Restaurant and Street Café, Sixteen Antlers Rooftop Bar as well as an Executive Lounge.

We are looking for our next Concierge superstar, to join our team in the role of Porter.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Be the face of the hotel, the key point of contact for guests arriving and departing the hotel, and liaise with guests to ensure an exceptional level of luxury service is delivered. Create the Magnifique Moments that last!

As a Porter, your passion for the property, and your respect for our guests’ belongings will ensure that our guests feel welcome as soon as they arrive. 

What you'll be doing:

• Engage with our guests on arrival, departure and during their stay through reception and concierge duties
• Receive guest vehicles and luggage and ensure care is taken to move them to their next destination
• Provide recommendations and information about Brisbane and its surrounds to our guests
• Interact with different departments on a daily basis to ensure that our guests have a seamless experience
• Provide exceptional service and product knowledge to proactively upsell hotel products and services.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• A true desire to work, grow and develop in the guest facing operations of a luxury city hotel
• An enthusiastic approach, excellent attention to detail and superior customer service skills 
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Friendly personality paired with professionalism and a high standard of personal presentation
• Open manual driver’s license
• Physical strength with the ability to safely lift and carry heavy items
• Ability to work varied shifts from early mornings to late evenings, including weekends.
