What you will be doing:

Reporting to the Food and Beverage and Spa Divisions, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Uphold the highest standard of customer service and guest health & safety by demonstrating and applying 5 Star service standards at all times.
• Ability to identify, empathize and appease any guest concerns in person.
• Act as an ambassador for the pool deck area inclusive of hosting, handling inquiries, communication with the Food & Beverage service and spa teams, cleanliness, ensuring all guest amenities/supplies are stocked and available, cabana rentals, any other areas that require attending.
• Maintain thorough knowledge about all aspects of pool and hotel policies and procedures.
• Ensure the pool facility is in peak condition at all times by actively circulating and offering amenities to guests during down time.
• Adhere to facility operations departmental emergency procedures/safety manual.
• Maintain availability and dedication to The Willow Stream Spa at the Fairmont Pacific Rim, being available to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed. 
• Provide necessary information to compile complete guest records. 
• Perform facial, body treatment and massage services while accommodating guest’s needs and creating individualized experiences.  
• Drive and dedication towards the common goal of Forbes 5 star rating 
• Maintain a clean, hygienic and neat work environment at all times; ensure all equipment is in safe working order. 
• Engage in providing thoughtful retail offerings to our guests and operate Point-of-Sale systems where required.
• Carry out any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Previous experience in a luxury environment is an asset
• Ability to be flexible and work well under pressure in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required with a professional appearance and demeanor.
• Energetic individual who is able to prioritize to complete many diverse tasks concurrently.
• Previous experience in a spa is an asset. 
• Be willing and able to work a variety of shifts, days, times as needed.
• Certificate from accredited school of cosmetology or esthetics.
