Painter

As a Painter you are responsible in maintenance and upkeep of all final finishes in Guest rooms, Public areas and other premises.

What you will be doing: 

• Ensures the optimum condition and appearance of all civil, interior design, and Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment finishes by following the preventive maintenance program
• Ensures environmentally friendly practices are followed when handling chemicals, paints, varnishes, strippers, and other finishing products
• Daily checking of Maintenance Log Book highlighting problems and solutions efficiently
• Responds to guest requests promptly in a professional and courteous manner
• Actively participates in departmental meeting by providing feedback and offering suggestions for improvement
• Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly way to protect guests’ and employees’ health and safety, as well as protect and conserve the environment

Your experience and skills include:

• Minimum of two year experience in similar role in Hotel Industry (preferably from 5* Hotel)
• Proficient in all manner of carpentry, interior design and FF&E repair, refurbishment, and maintenance
• The ability to use all general repair tools, read shop drawings and specifications, make rough estimates of required materials.
• Strong communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

• Constant standing and walking throughout shift
• Frequent lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs
• Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
• Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps

Visa requirements:

Please note that you must be eligible to live and work in Dubai. Swissotel Al Ghurair & Swissotel Living Al Ghurair will cover visa costs and flights for selected candidates from place of origin.
