Job Description

Overnight Stewarding Supervisor

As the Overnight Stewarding Supervisor, you will be an integral member of the team, inspecting all flatware, tableware, and kitchen equipment, and ensuring a superior standard of work.

This is a full-time, permanent role, starting immediately.

Starting Rate of Pay: $25.30 per hour

We recognize tenure through our compensation - hourly rates increase after 6 months and then yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $28.90 per hour.

Job Duties Include:

  • Lead and supervise the Stewarding team in all aspects of the department and ensure standards are followed
  • Supervise and maintain the sanitation of kitchen equipment and other areas assigned
  • Responsible for the training of new colleagues 
  • Ensure the kitchen colleagues have the dishes, silverware and equipment required
  • Review banquet event orders and ensure all set-ups and supplies are in place
  • Ensure all breakages and chipped items are taken out of circulation and inventoried
  • Ensure all equipment is in working order and report any items in need of repair

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a Stewarding and Kitchen department preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications

Additional Information

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
