    Job Description

    We are looking for a dedicated Operations Recruitment Manager to join our Talent Acquisition team and support in identifying hiring needs and filling job openings. Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, the responsibilities of our Operations Recruitment Manager include identifying future hiring needs, designing job descriptions, sourcing candidates through databases and social media, conducting interviews, filing paperwork, and keeping abreast of employment law, immigration law and legislation.

    A successful Operations Recruitment Manager has excellent interpersonal skills, strong time management skills and the ability to collaborate with Hiring Managers while also being able to work well independently. Our ideal candidate is organized and detail-oriented, keeps informed in company hiring and internship programs, can assess candidates' skills, experience, and relevant knowledge and compare them to job requirements.

    Operations Recruitment Manager Responsibilities:

    • Conducting interviews and sorting through applicants to fill open positions (~30 hours/week) assessing candidates skills and competencies.
    • Identify future hiring needs and developing job descriptions and specifications
    • Manage active candidates throughout the recruitment process and provide best in class candidate experience from the first contact to onboarding
    • Collaborating with department managers to compile a consistent list of vacancies and needs.
    • Attracting suitable candidates through databases, online employment forums, social media, etc.
    • Assessing applicants' knowledge, skills, and experience to best suit open positions.
    • Completing paperwork for new hires.
    • Promoting the company's reputation and attractiveness as a good employment opportunity.
    • Working with Temporary Foreign Worker Programs, ensuring compliance for all work permit holders, accurate record keeping and AINP application support.
    • Providing recruitment reports to Talent Acquisition Manager
    • Manage the property recruitment system (INES & Smart Recruiters), creating requisitions, postings positions, screening candidates
    • Responsible for providing hiring managers with training on the recruitment hiring and interviewing processes, as well as on the recruitment systems
    • Attend job fairs and recruitment events/trips together with regional and hotel team members as required
    • Consult with Hiring Managers regarding selection of candidates
    • In Collaboration with the Housing Manager and The Talent Acquisition Manager, ensure an accurate and timely flow of information about new arrivals and available housing to ensure new employees can be adequately housed
    • Ensure all job descriptions within the hotel are accurate and current
    • Communicate with candidates in person, by phone, and email to ensure they receive a positive experience in their recruitment process
    • Process background checks and work permit information in a timely and accurate manner
    • Develop relationships with hiring managers and ensure that all open requisitions reflect the skills mix required by the property.

    Qualifications

    • The ability to conduct different types of interviews.
    • Experience with recruitment processes, applicant tracking systems and databases.
    • The ability to design and implement interviewing strategies.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills.
    • Strong decision-making skills.
    • A working knowledge of employment law, immigration and legislation considered an asset.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint, Publisher, Excel, and Word) required
    • Strong Organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities
    • Results orientated with the ability to be flexible and to work well under pressure
    • Ability to work independently, effectively prioritizing work and managing disruptions
    • Ability to support a collaborative environment.
    • Demonstrates initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills
    • Innovative, creative, and willing to take risk and be accountable for successes, near misses and the inevitable misses!
