Part of ACCOR hotels, the four star MERCURE White Hart hotel is conveniently located in Salisbury historic city centre. The famous cathedral is a short five-minute walk away, while Stonehenge & the New Forrest are located within 12 miles away. The hotel offers 68 bedrooms with meetings and events capacity for up to 200 people. In October 12, purpose built apartments will open to complement the hotel offering.

Job Description

The Operations Manager reports directly to the General Manager and acts on their behalf in their absence, is responsible for the entire operation including Food and Beverage, Rooms, Guest Experience, & Health and Safety. Your role is to maintain MERCURE standards and, to guarantee a consistently high quality guest experience. You will be co ordinating all aspects of the operation to ensure that each outlet functions at an optimal level in key areas including service, revenue generation and cost management. You will be integral to being part of a family team culture, which is service focused, positive and driven to succeed, open to change and creative in approach. Development of our talent within the hotel is key to succession planning and retention of the team.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in similar role for at least one year
  • Stock taking knowledge
  • Understanding for finance, including forecasting, rotaring, budgeting.
  • Communication Skills
  • Operational knowledge & past experience of working in reception, kitchen, & restaurant
  • Competent using windows 365 applications
  • Opera system knowledge would be beneficial
  • Qualifications such as licensee, food hygiene an advantage
  • Cultural Competence
  • Right to work in UK
