Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Night Manager to join our team in Brisbane City, Australia. As the Night Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel during overnight hours, maintaining high standards of guest satisfaction, and overseeing the safety and security of our property.

  • Manage and supervise all aspects of hotel operations during night shifts
  • Ensure exceptional guest experiences by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and anticipating needs
  • Oversee check-in and check-out procedures, maintaining accurate guest accounts and records
  • Implement and maintain strict security protocols to ensure guest and property safety
  • Coordinate with other departments to address any overnight maintenance or housekeeping needs
  • Prepare and analyse nightly reports for management review
  • Train and mentor night shift staff, promoting a culture of excellence, passion and pride
  • Handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently, following established procedures
  • Assist in food and beverage service as needed, ensuring quality and timeliness
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of hotel operations and guest services.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in hotel management, preferably in a night manager or similar role
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
  • Exceptional customer service orientation with a guest-first mindset
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficiency in hotel management software (e.g., Opera) and Microsoft Office suite
  • Thorough understanding of hotel safety and security procedures
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Flexibility to work overnight shifts and adapt to varying schedules
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational and multitasking abilities
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field (preferred).
