Along with 190 guest rooms, we offer our guests and visitors a restaurant, lounge bar, in-room dining, and a fully equipped conference centre with multiple function spaces.

In this full-time role, you will primarily oversee the night auditing process, ensuring all guest accounts, revenue postings, and reports are accurate. You will also be taking care of the Reception area, creating a warm and welcoming experience for all our guests, answering questions, and providing assistance.

As required, you will take on Night Manager duties, covering RDOs or leave for our full time Night Manager.  You will be responsible for maintaining the safety and security of guests, staff, and the property, and ensuring all our guests have a great experience in our hotel.

Job Description

  • Conduct night audit procedures, including reconciling daily revenue, verifying guest accounts, and preparing audit reports.
  • Welcome late arrivals and farewell early departures, ensuring a smooth and personalised guest experience.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and enquiries, delivering solutions with professionalism and warmth.
  • Coordinate with our Front Office day team and other departments to ensure seamless overnight operations.
  • Provide an effective handover at the start and end of each shift.
  • On relief Night Manager nights:
    • Oversee all overnight operations, maintaining safety and security.
    • Handle guest queries, concerns or issues with empathy and clarity.
    • You will work with a night auditor or GSA, however will also sometimes be working alone, depending on the hotel occupancy

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Night Auditor or in a similar operational role within a hotel environment is preferred. However, if you are a quick learner, detail oriented and with a background in financial reporting, we would love to hear from you.
  • Previous Night Manager or supervisory experience is desirable.
  • Calm, confident, and composed under pressure.
  • Enthusiasm for connecting with guests and delivering personalised service.
  • Exceptional presentation, grooming, and communication skills.
  • High level of computer literacy; RMS experience preferred but not essential
  • Availability to work across a 7-day roster, overnight 11:00pm to 7:00am, including at least two relief Night Manager nights per week.

Additional Information

This is a full time role and candidates must have full working rights in Australia to be considered.  We offer award rates of $26.70 per hour for Night Audit and $30.73 for Night Manager, plus applicable penalty rates.  We are unable to provide sponsorship for this role.
