We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Night Auditor to join our Front Office team in Sofitel Brisbane Central. As a Night Auditor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth overnight operations and maintaining exceptional guest satisfaction.
What you will be doing:
- Balance daily transactions and prepare overnight reports with precision and accuracy
- Verify and reconcile guest accounts, ensuring all charges are correctly posted
- Provide exceptional customer service during check-in, check-out, and throughout the night shift
- Assist guests with inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for both guests and employees
- Follow and complete the Night Audit checklist to ensure all required tasks are accomplished
- Collaborate with other departments to address any discrepancies or concerns
- Generate and distribute various financial and operational reports
- Support the front desk team with administrative tasks as needed.
You will excel in this role if you have:
- Previous experience as a Night Auditor or in a similar role within the hospitality industry (essential)
- Proficiency in hotel management software, particularly Opera Cloud, and Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills
- Basic accounting knowledge and understanding of financial processes
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to security procedures
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service
- Adaptability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts on a rotating schedule
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organisational skills and time management abilities.
