Job Description

  • Prepares daily scheduling and briefing of staff reporting to him/her
  • Attends daily briefing with the Senior Executive Housekeeper and Housekeeping Manager
  • Supervise and train all Housekeeping staff reporting to him/her
  • Conducts regular inspection of all areas of responsibility to make sure instructions are carried out, comes up with expected results and ensures accepted standard of cleanliness, maintenance and sanitation.
  • Inspect rooms daily and special attention to VIP arrivals as well as In house guests. Submit daily report to Housekeeping Manager
  • Maintains discipline and high morale among staff. Correct mistakes or inadequacies of the same and recommend disciplinary action to the Housekeeping Manager.
  • Monitors staff performance and reflect comments in the performance-tracking sheet. Evaluates staff on probation and staff on a yearly basis.
  • Provides friendly and helpful assistance to all personnel assigned to him/her and sees to it that they carry out their duties and responsibilities properly.
  • Promptly reports to the Room Coordinator or Engineering department any problem or defects in his/her area for proper action
  • Attends to complaints and requests concerning area of responsibility and takes corrective action.
  • Immediately reports any of loss or damage to hotel property, as well as unusual incidents occurring in his/her shift to the Housekeeping Manager.
  • Trains staff of the proper use of all cleaning solutions and machines
  • Ensures the cleanliness and maintenance of all cleaning tools/machines and record defects/breakdown of the same.
  • Monitors usage of all cleaning supplies to avoid wastage and cut on unnecessary expenses
  • Ensures that staff follows correct safety procedures.
  • Checks staff for proper grooming, clean uniforms and use of nametags while on duty. See to it that they abide by the rules and regulations of the hotel and follows emergency procedures as the need arises.
  • Records daily activities and events, complaints/problems encountered, unfinished assignments for follow up and other abnormal activities encountered during her shift.
  • In charge of taking full responsibility of the stocks and linen on assigned pantry floor. Order from Housekeeping guest amenities for room attendants and ensure enough stocks are enough for their supply within the day. Conduct monthly and weekly inventory of stocks at assigned pantry area.
  • Submit required daily and monthly reports

 


Qualifications

  • Good oral proficiency in English language
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar capacity
  • Ability to speak other languages and basic understanding of local languages will be an advantage
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and training skills
  • Results and service oriented with an eye for details
  • Ability to multi-task, work well in stressful & high-pressure situations
  • A team player & builder
  • A motivator & self-starter
  • Well-presented and professionally groomed at all times
