Join the Shakespeare Group as a Multi-Hotel Financial Controller and shape the financial future of two exceptional Accor properties: Hotel Woolstore 1888 and Peppers Marysville. Hotel Woolstore 1888, nestled in Sydney's iconic Darling Harbour, is a heritage gem transformed into a luxurious hotel with 90 meticulously designed guestrooms. Peppers Marysville offers guests a serene escape with 100 beautifully appointed rooms, connecting them to stunning natural surroundings.
In this pivotal role, you’ll work closely with the Hotel Leadership team to ensure financial success, driving accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across both properties. Your expertise will be key in maintaining the financial integrity and growth of these unique hotels.
As the financial cornerstone of the hotels, you’ll be responsible for delivering timely and precise financial reports to the General Manager, Accor, and the Owners. You’ll oversee the completion of all financial reports, ensuring all data is accurate and aligned with management agreements and ownership expectations. Your strategic insights will help Department Heads enhance profitability, and you'll streamline financial systems to boost operational efficiency.
You will lead the review of financial documents, approve requisitions and payments, and provide strategic oversight of key functions such as AR, AP, Payroll, and Cashiering. Your leadership will guide payroll audits, productivity meetings, and forecasting, ensuring all financial procedures meet Accor’s rigorous standards. Additionally, you’ll take charge of end-of-month processes, account reconciliations, and deliver comprehensive financial presentations to stakeholders.

- Tertiary degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce or similiar
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and statutory responsibilities.
- Proficient in accounting software; experience with TimeTarget, WageEASY, PurchasePlus, and Sun would be beneficial (but not required)
- Thorough understanding of tax, superannuation, long service leave, and National Employment Standards.
- Relevant State Police Check required.
