Job Description

Under the general guidance of the Director of Sales, he/she is responsible for driving the hotel’s performance in the marketplace and growing revenue through strategic marketing initiatives. 

Essential Duties & Functions:

  • Prepare, implement and compile data for the strategic marketing budget, forecasts and other reports as directed/required
  • Conduct and attend business review meetings, weekly f & b marketing meetings, revenue management meetings and other meetings as required/ requested
  • Manage all advertising, public relations and promotional activities
  • Conduct weekly meetings and pre-event line ups
  • Prepare communication plans to ensure that all new initiatives are rolled out effectively
  • Organize and submit invoices for promotions & entertainment
  • Update all calendars and disseminate information to operations and hotel team
  • Manage weekly update to corporate team on your properties marketing efforts and results.
  • Monthly ROI report on initiatives to GM and corporate team
  • Assist in the execution of all marketing initiatives in property marketing plans
  • Manage creative request process ensuring that the creativity is authentic and on brand
  • Provide marketing support for the purpose of the generation of incremental hotel revenues and local community visibility
  • Prepare and execute integrated marketing plan with DOS
  • Create and implement a marketing strategy for Food and Beverage outlets
  • Create, manage and execute executive packages 
  • Create, manage, and execute a programming strategy for all outlets and entertainment areas at hotel.
  • Be present and coordinate all necessary events
  • Manage & market special events for sales and marketing – eg. NYE, Halloween, Fashion Week, pop ups & other relevant events
  • Manage social media in coordination with 3 party when applicable 
  • Act as the public face and point of contact for outlets and initiatives
  • Manage and disseminate event calendar and promotions to employees, guests, and within rooms
  • Lead and execute all photography shoots
  • Establish and foster new relationships that drive revenue and increase brand awareness for the properties
  • Develop signature promotional nights in F&B outlets
  • Guests follow up with all large reservations and bookings
  • Perform neighborhood outreach to surrounding businesses to create base local clientele
  • Develop strategies to increase market share
  • Complete tours, welcome cards and amenity request for all media and marketing related guests.
  • Lead Bi-weekly PR meetings outlining initiatives
  • Manage all advertising, public relations and promotional activities.
  • Create and maintain a personal and respectful rapport with regular guests.
  • Attend client functions as and when required.
  • Entertain existing and potential clients to maintain customer loyalty.
  • Maintain relationship with PR agency
  • Attend need meetings with PR team and assist with managing larger events or need periods.

Salary range: $70,000 to $75,000. 


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in hotel marketing preferred
  • Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high-level attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments.
  • Ability to communicate customer needs and resolve complaints independently
  • Ability to establish and master goals
  • Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork

Physical Requirements:

  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 15 pounds without assistance
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity
  • Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
