Job Description

Fairmont Washington D.C., Georgetown is one of the capital’s most distinguished luxury hotels, located in the West End just steps from Georgetown and the city’s cultural, diplomatic, and business centers. The hotel features over 400 guest rooms and suites, an acclaimed culinary program, a private courtyard, Fairmont Gold, and extensive meeting and event space, serving both discerning leisure travelers and high-level corporate and social clientele.

Reporting to the Regional Director of Sales and Marketing, the Marketing Manager is responsible for shaping and executing the hotel’s digital and brand presence across owned, paid, and earned channels. This role is both strategic and hands-on—translating brand vision into compelling storytelling, measurable performance, and commercial results.

The Marketing Manager supports hotel revenue objectives by driving awareness, engagement, and conversion while ensuring all digital and brand touchpoints reflect Fairmont standards.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the hotel’s digital presence across brand websites, OTAs, social platforms, and third-party listings, ensuring content accuracy, brand alignment, and commercial effectiveness
  • Develop, curate, and publish on-brand content that reflects the hotel’s positioning, seasonal priorities, and unique sense of place
  • Manage and execute social media strategy in partnership with Public Relations, including content calendars, community engagement, and reputation management
  • Monitor, respond to, and manage online guest feedback and reviews across platforms such as Google, TripAdvisor, Expedia, OpenTable, and Yelp
  • Partner with Revenue Management to analyze Fairmont.com and microsite performance, identifying opportunities to improve conversion, booking value, and demand generation
  • Support the development and execution of digital campaigns, including paid media, SEO/SEM initiatives, and corporate e-commerce programs
  • Maintain and optimize website content, landing pages, and offers within corporate brand standards, ensuring timely updates and accurate merchandising
  • Analyze performance using Google Analytics and other reporting tools, delivering clear insights, monthly reporting, and actionable recommendations to leadership
  • Coordinate and support photo and video shoots, ensuring the hotel maintains a current, high-quality image and video library
  • Manage relationships with digital vendors, agencies, and technology partners, ensuring accountability, ROI, and service quality
  • Collaborate with Public Relations on media, influencer, and partnership initiatives, including hosted stays, content creation, and digital amplification
  • Author and edit digital copy for websites, email campaigns, partner platforms, and promotional materials
  • Support crisis communications and issues management from a digital and online reputation perspective
  • Attend and support hotel marketing, PR, and promotional events as needed, including evenings and weekends

What is in it for you:

  • Competitive Salary
  • Paid Time Off
  • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance, 401K
  • Employee benefit card offering discounted rates in Accor worldwide
  • Learning programs through our Academies
  • Opportunity to develop your talent and grow within your property and across the world!
  • Ability to make a difference through our Corporate Social Responsibility activities

Rate of Pay: $66,000 - 85,000 per annum

Qualifications

Your skills include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in digital marketing, preferably within luxury hospitality, lifestyle, or travel brands
  • Strong understanding of website optimization, SEO/SEM, performance marketing, and digital analytics
  • Hands-on experience with content management systems, Google Analytics, and digital advertising platforms
  • Excellent written communication skills with a strong editorial eye
  • Highly organized, analytical, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Revenue Management, PR, and corporate teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); basic HTML knowledge a plus
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

  • Ability to move throughout the hotel and attend on-site events and activations
  • Occasional lifting of materials up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to remain standing or walking for extended periods during events
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests, colleagues, and partners
