Job Description

Reporting to the Director, Engineering, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Conducts rounds of specified areas including lights
  • Answers all calls and does repairs throughout the hotel
  • Performs chemical test for boilers, chillers, swimming pool, etc.
  • Is part of the fire response team and stands by in the event of any emergencies
  • Conducts preventative maintenance as scheduled by Engineering Department
  • Experience with chillers, boilers and refrigeration systems
  • Experience with HVAC systems and associated preventative maintenance
  • Able to perform minor plumbing, mechanical and electrical repairs

Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Previous hotel experience is an asset
  • Graduate from a technical school
  • Building Operator Certificate, or Maintenance Technician an asset
  • Computer literate with knowledge of BAS computer system, Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in maintenance and repairs
