About Orient Express Venezia at Palazzo Donà Giovannelli 

Orient Express will open its second hotel in Italy at the exceptional in Venice. Architect and interior designer Aline Amar d’Amman, alongside her studio Culture in Architecture, has been entrusted to design and decorate the space. 

Venice, once the gateway to Constantinople and a mythical stop on the legendary Orient Express train – that opened its doors in 1919 with the completion of the Simplon tunnel linking Switzerland to Italy – will be the home of the second Orient Express hotel, set to open in 2026. 

Under the general guidance of the Executive Housekeeper or any other authorized by the management, ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Laundry and Uniform Issue areas in accordance to the hotel standards.  

• Monitor and follow up on Uniform Issue and all guest dry-cleaning and laundry requests. 
• Ensure that all guest laundry and dry-cleaning items are delivered to the guestrooms properly wrapped and in line with standards. 
• Carry out basic tailoring tasks for guests, such as fixing tears, hemming garments, or reattaching buttons. 
• Perform similar minor repairs for staff uniforms when needed. 
• Make sure the washer and dryer machines are used correctly. 
• Ensure proper operation of the presser and the ironing machine. 
• Keep the Executive Housekeeper informed about any issues or concerns related to laundry operations. 

Previous experience in a similar role within a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred but not always required for entry-level positions. 

• Experience in a luxury (5-star) hotel is a plus 
• Prior experience working in a laundry environment is essential. 
• Fluency in both Italian and English is required. 
• Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for cleanliness 
• Strong communication and organizational abilities. 
• Polite, friendly, and customer-service oriented attitude. 
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues. 
• Ability to anticipate and focus attention on guest needs, being professional and welcoming 
• Excellent organizational skills and time management 
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
