Job Description
We're looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Kitchen Technician to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you'll be, ensuring that all equipment runs smoothly and efficiently. You'll work collaboratively with kitchen staff and management to maintain a safe, compliant, and productive food service environment. Your technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and commitment to excellence will directly impact our operational success and customer satisfaction.
- Perform routine maintenance and preventive inspections on all kitchen equipment and appliances to ensure optimal performance and reliability
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration issues with precision and analytical thinking
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency repair requests, minimizing downtime and operational disruptions
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, equipment status, and service history for compliance and tracking purposes
- Ensure all work adheres to safety, health, and operational standards established by the organization and local regulations
- Coordinate effectively with kitchen staff to communicate maintenance schedules and minimize impact on daily operations
- Monitor and maintain critical systems including refrigeration units, ventilation systems, and food service equipment
- Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new kitchen equipment
- Manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies, ensuring availability and organization
- Stay current with industry best practices and equipment innovations to continuously improve maintenance processes
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Proven experience in kitchen equipment maintenance, building maintenance, or related technical field
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing commercial kitchen appliances and equipment
- Relevant technical certifications (HVAC, electrical, appliance repair, or equivalent) preferred
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to diagnose complex equipment issues
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and management
- Demonstrated reliability, responsibility, and commitment to maintaining high safety and compliance standards
- Proficiency in maintaining detailed maintenance records and documentation
- Physical capability to perform manual work, including lifting, bending, and working in various positions
- Time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and respond to urgent repair requests
- Knowledge of food service industry standards and safety regulations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Flexible and adaptable approach to changing operational needs

Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
Fluency in Arabic & English, Additional Language is an added advantage.
