We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Kitchen Porter to join our bustling kitchen team in Birmingham, United Kingdom. As a vital member of our culinary operations, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen, ensuring smooth and efficient food service.

• Maintain impeccable cleanliness and organisation in all kitchen areas • Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, ensuring they are ready for service • Assist with the cleaning of food preparation areas, floors, and storage spaces • Support the kitchen team by keeping work areas tidy and well-stocked • Handle and store cleaning chemicals safely and appropriately
• Receive, check, and properly store deliveries for all departments • Dispose of waste in compliance with health and safety guidelines • Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, as required • Adhere to strict food safety standards and hygiene practices • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations during busy periods • Maintain a positive and supportive attitude, contributing to a team-oriented environment

• Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment • Physical stamina to handle the demanding nature of the role • Positive attitude and enthusiasm for working in a kitchen setting • Detail-oriented approach to cleaning and organisation • Basic understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices • Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently
• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules • Resilience and ability to work under pressure during busy periods • Team player with a collaborative mindset • Good communication skills to interact effectively with kitchen staff • Willingness to learn and develop skills in food preparation • Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial but not essential
