Swissôtel Sydney, part of Accor’s Luxe brands, has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and driven Junior Sous Chef to join our kitchen brigade. 

Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will have the opportunity work alongside an experienced team and assist in managing the kitchen operations for our various outlets including Ten Stories Restaurant, Arches Bar, In-Room Dining, Executive lounge and Conference & Events


Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Assist the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef in the supervision of the Kitchen Cooks and Stewarding team

  • Food preparation and production to deliver innovative and inspired dishes aimed to exceed customer and guest expectations

  • Ensure food standards, preparation, presentation and cooking techniques are established and monitored to meet set guidelines

  • Ensure the highest standard of hygiene is practiced and maintained to meet Health & Safety regulations and HACCP food preparation guidelines


Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role or luxury/fine dining environment will be viewed favourably

  • Appropriate Trade qualification

  • Sound knowledge of food trends, HACCP standards and procedures

  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays

  • Full Time work right in Australia
