We are seeking a talented and passionate Junior Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Pullman London St Pancras. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will assist in overseeing daily operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, and contributing to the overall success of our dining experience.
- Assist the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in managing kitchen operations and staff
- Ensure consistent food quality and presentation across all dishes
- Supervise and participate in food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies
- Implement and maintain food safety and hygiene standards
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and seasonal specials
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to improve their skills and efficiency
- Assist in cost control measures, including minimizing food waste and optimizing ingredient usage
- Ensure proper equipment maintenance and cleanliness in the kitchen
- Contribute to menu planning and recipe development
- Participate in food tasting sessions and quality control checks
- Minimum Professional Certificate in a Culinary-related field
- At least 4 years of experience in the Food & Beverage industry, preferably in a hotel or upscale restaurant setting
- Strong culinary skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques
- Excellent understanding of food safety standards and HACCP guidelines
- Proven experience in kitchen management and staff supervision
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Proficiency in menu planning, recipe development, and cost control
- Detail-oriented with a focus on food quality and presentation
- Innovative approach to culinary trends and techniques
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus

Salary: £33,664 per annum (£16.60 per hour) + monthly service charge.
