Job Description

The Income Controller plays a crucial role in maintaining the financial integrity of our hotel operations. This position demands a high level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.

  1. Execute all tasks and secondary duties as assigned by the Accountant/Director of Finance with utmost diligence and precision.
  2. Adapt swiftly and efficiently to any modifications in office functions as mandated by hotel management.
  3. Demonstrate flexibility and competence in responding to changes within the Accounting & Finance department.
  4. Maintain an unwavering commitment to providing courteous and professional service at all times.
  5. Consistently exhibit a positive and motivated demeanour, exercising self-control in all professional interactions.
  6. Uphold the highest standards of discretion, maintaining strict confidentiality of all observations and reporting directly to the Director of Finance.
  7. Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the Income Audit Section in the Operations Manual, including all relevant policies and procedures.
  8. Implement and maintain a rigorous and effective auditing system for all hotel revenues and receipts.
  9. Produce and deliver accurate summaries of revenues as required by various stakeholders within the Finance and Accounting Department for the preparation of daily and monthly reports.
  10. Provide Heads of Departments with precise and timely revenue figures, enabling them to operate their individual profit centres with optimal efficiency and profitability.

Qualifications

The Income Controller position demands a high level of expertise and professionalism. Successful candidates must possess:

  • Extensive knowledge of finance and accounting best practices, essential for maintaining the financial integrity of our hotel operations.
  • In-depth understanding of relevant laws and regulations, crucial for ensuring compliance and mitigating financial risks.
  • Proven management experience, vital for effectively overseeing the income audit process and collaborating with various departments.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, indispensable for interpreting complex financial data and producing accurate revenue summaries.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard financial tools and software, critical for maintaining efficient and accurate financial records.
