Job Description

What you will be doing:

  • This will include the processing of tasks. This position is dependent on teamwork and a solid foundation based with the mechanical hour capacity and productivity reports and ownership of processes a must for development.
  • The House Attendant will assist room attendants with heavy items such as mattresses and linens.
  • Practice safety standards at all times
  • Deliver linens and other supplies to room attendants and closets.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of floor closets and vending areas.
  • Respond to guests’ requests such as delivery of housekeeping supplies in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Clean other designated areas such as public restroom, fixtures, vending areas, and storage areas.
  • Monitor and control supplies and amenities and minimize waste within all areas of housekeeping.
  • Collect items for recycling.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of guest corridor areas.
  • Responsible for picking up of soiled linen and trash from closets and disposing/sorting accordingly
  • House Attendant will assist with cleaning and shampooing of guest room carpets as well as corridor carpets
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by Supervisor
  • Offer professional, friendly and engaging service to all guests and responding timely to any special requests
  • Being a team player in assisting the Housekeeping Attendants to ensure guest rooms are prepared efficiently, working on the guestrooms with delivering guestroom supplies, trash management, and linen delivery.
  • Organize and maintain inventory and maintain pars for guest room linen and supplies.
  • Ensure all standards (Fairmont, Forbes, AAA, LQA, etc) are followed and met on a daily basis.
  • Perform tasks and/or projects assigned by Housekeeping management and staff.
  • Maintain a clear communication and offer assistance to Fairmont guests.


Rate of Pay: $22.00

 


Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

  • High School graduate or equivalent is preferred.
  • Previous experience of one year is preferred.
  • Able to communicate both written and verbally.
  • Reading and counting is essential.
  • Knowledge of the function and department processes
  • Understand and communicate to guests and colleagues in English
  • Basic knowledge of technology use (computer, device, radios)
