Job Description

JO&JOE is opening its new hostel in [CITY]! And is looking for its new Housekeeping Shift Leader.
Come and write a page in the history of JO&JOE, by being part of the opening team! The Housekeeping Shift Leader will be responsible for managing the external housekeeping providers and ensuring adherence to JO&JOE SOPs throughout the hostel. 🛡️

Mission 1: To team up with the Housekeeping Supervisor and make sure rooms are fresh, tidy, and ready to wow our guests.

Mission 2: To make sure SOPs are followed for all room types, public areas, laundry, training, and regular checks – including those covering health, safety, and security.

Mission 3: To lead and support the housekeeping team by creating a space where everyone feels confident, valued, and free to be themselves.

Mission 4: To organise the team’s daily tasks and keep things flowing smoothly so everything gets done one time – while also offering on-the-job training and helping the team to grow professionally.

Mission 5: To work hand-in-hand with other teams (Front Office, Maintenance) to help create a great experience for our guests.

Mission 6: To support a great working vibe with our external housekeeping partners, as part of the bigger team.

Mission 7: To keep supplies and linen topped up and ready, based on what the team needs day to day.

Mission 8: To deliver most perfect experience to JO&JOE customers.


Qualifications

  • Handle changes with a calm head and a can-do attitude.
  • Notice the little things that make a big difference in a guest’s stay.
  • Communicate clearly and kindly, whether you’re leading the team or chatting with other departments.
  • Be someone the team can count on – reliable, steady, and always ready to help.

YOUR LITTLE EXTRAS ARE:

  • Field of study: Hospitality.
  • Professional experience: 2 years minimum.
  • Languages required: you speak English fluently and, if you're also fluent il Hungarian, that would be a real asset.
