Job Description

Health Club Attendant - Full Time, Seasonal (ending September 30th)

Fostering the health and wellbeing of our guests, visitors and Colleagues is an integral part of our Fairmont Waterfront culture. As a Health Club Attendant, your warm service and knowledge of all our facility has to offer will support our guests and members in their commitment to healthy living.

What you will be doing:

  • Manage the daily operations for the Health Club including cleanliness, sanitization and guest experience
  • Provide personalized guest experience
  • Handle any guest concerns and communicate to respective departments immediately while proactively working towards guest recovery
  • Cleaning of change rooms regularly and ensuring that all supplies are stocked well
  • Ensure that the original set-up for health club is in place after each set of guests depart the health club
  • Ensure that the pool towels are always stocked, and the soiled linen is bought to the laundry room
  • Support the Food & Beverage Cabana operation where available. Assisting Pool Servers with the taking of food and beverage orders and clearing of tables
  • Schedule flexibility is required based on demand and weather

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

  • Previous experience in a Health Club preferred
  • CPR and First Aid certification an asset
  • Serving it Right Certification preferred
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times 
  • Able to work a variety of days and shifts, including weekends
  • Post secondary education in Hotel Management an asset 
  • Experience in pool maintenance an asset

Additional Information

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.  The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
