The Hoxton is a series of open-house hotels, each in a neighbourhood that we love. Ever since we opened our first hotel in Shoreditch, we’ve never just been about offering a bed for the night. We are looking for a Head of Marketing UK & Ire to join the Brand team at The Hoxton, to lead all marketing, partnerships and guest experience activity for our UK hotels, including our restaurants and bars.
The Head of Marketing UK & Ire will work closely with our London hotel operating and revenue teams to develop commercial but creative, innovative marketing strategies and collaborate with our central digital, PR and content teams to bring our stories to life in the right channels at the right time. They will also have their finger on the pulse in terms of consumer insights and behaviour, be adventurous thinkers with clever ideas and come with a network of cultural connections to create inspiring, fun and meaningful brand partnerships.
Reporting to the Area General Manager, managing a team of five and based in London, the role is perfect for someone that wants to challenge the tried and tested formulas of hospitality and offers the opportunity to work on a broad range of projects – from creating exciting commercial packages to spearheading brand statement events, ensuring consistent programming in our restaurants and bars and finding ways to innovate our guest experiences to build strong communities of Hox Friends and brand partners.

What you’ll do…
- Build, lead and execute the annual marketing strategies for each of our UK Hoxton hotels and their restaurants and bars – understanding the numbers is essential but we want you to bring some creative flair to the execution!
- Plan and own the annual marketing budgets for each hotel – a given really…
- Manage a team of 5 covering brand activations, social media for restaurants and bars and PR
- Create seasonal campaigns or one-off ideas that drive direct room bookings and help our revenue team encourage to people to stay a while with us
- Work with your teams to create calendars of creative programming that drive covers in our restaurants and bars through high and low seasons and times of the day.
- Know your hotels inside out and be constantly thinking about how you can innovate the guest experience and our offering by reacting to immediate needs & long-term trends
- As part of the wider global brand team, you will be instrumental in developing bigger statement brand activations that are routed in insights – from pop-up campsites to launching subscription programmes – and you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to work out how to make things happen
- You’ll keep us connected to our neighbourhoods and our guests through interesting brand partnerships, whether that’s updating our Hox Galleries with new artists, creating elevated partner packages or stocking our retail areas with goodies from local makers
- You will drive our Good Neighbours activities across all hotels – big or small – to ensure we continue to give back to the most vulnerable in our communities
- You will be the go-to point person for our community of Hox Friends and you’ll develop an engagement strategy that ensures they remain an extension of our Hox family and our greatest ambassadors
- You will work closely with our graphic design team and be responsible for writing brilliant and insightful creative briefs to ensure they can do their best work
- You’ll be a close ally of our PR, Digital and Content teams working collaboratively to tell UK stories through global channels in a timely fashion
- You will take the lead on launch strategies for any future UK hotel openings as and when they are confirmed
