Job Description

Are you ready to take the helm as our Head Chef at the new ibis Styles London Gatwick Airport hotel? Envision yourself ensuring our kitchen is a hub of top-tier food, our restaurant a bustling and vibrant spot, and our bar a haven for world travellers —all while keeping a keen eye on costs and quality.

This full-time, permanent role is a chance to mould and shape a fresh team and set exceptional standards. With a competitive salary of £32,500 plus benefits, you'll be at the forefront, driving success as the hotel only recently opened.

We’re seeking an experienced chef who thrives in the fast-paced F&B operation, excels at mentoring and uplifting their team, and is laser-focused on quality, consistency and revenue generation.

Your background in cooking is crucial — you know the rhythm: foreseeing guest needs, leading by example, and maintaining a clean, safe and healthy workspace. ibis Styles values diversity, and you'll be pivotal in crafting a team that celebrates individuality.

Let's get into the specifics! We're on the lookout for someone with 4 years of cooking experience, in high-street restaurants, bustling pubs, or hotels. Flexibility is the name of the game—365 days a year means mid, weekend, early, and late shifts.
